This is a Super Duplex (Austenitic-Ferritic) grade, an upgrade from 2205, with higher Chromium (25%), Nickel (7%), and Molybdenum (4%).It offers exceptional strength (twice that of 316L) and extreme corrosion resistance. Its very high alloy content provides superior resistance to pitting (PREN ≥40), crevice corrosion, and Chloride Stress Corrosion Cracking (CSCC), even in warm chloride environments.2507 pipe is reserved for the most demanding applications: offshore oil and gas platforms (pipelines, well casings), desalination plants (high-pressure piping), chemical process vessels, and flue gas desulfurization (FGD) scrubbers.
