Monel K-500 Coil
Monel K-500 Coil is thin-gauge nickel-copper alloy strip or foil supplied in a rolled configuration. It is an age-hardenable version of Monel 400, achieved by adding aluminum and titanium, which allows for a subsequent thermal treatment to significantly increase its strength and hardness. This coil retains the excellent corrosion resistance of Monel 400, particularly in high-velocity seawater, non-oxidizing acids, and sour gas environments. Due to its combination of high strength and corrosion resistance, Monel K-500 coil is used for applications requiring flexible, yet highly durable material, such as springs, seals, diaphragms, non-magnetic instrumentation, and small fasteners in marine and downhole oil & gas service.
